ARK

Children are always welcome at Queen Street and we try to accommodate children of all age groups with a number of different activities during the main meeting.

Our aim is to provide a safe, fun and caring environment where children can learn more about God's love for themselves.

Pre-school, infants & juniors

The children usually stay in the main meeting for approximately twenty minutes joining in with a few lively worship songs - many of the children enjoy using the puppets and flags during this part of the meeting.

At around 10.50am the pre-school, infant and junior age children go out to the back hall and enjoy a time of worship, stories and games specifically for them.  This is followed by a drink and snack break.

Once the main talk is about to start in the main meeting, usually around 11.20am, the leaders of the various ARK groups come out to the children and take the pre-school, infant and junior aged children for a time of teaching and activities relevant to their specific age group.  The teaching in these sessions continues to explore the stories and themes raised in the earlier session where all the children were together.

Créche

During the talk in the main meeting, usually from about 11.20am to 12 noon, we also run a créche in one of the rooms on the second floor of the building.  To find out where this is and who is on the rota please speak to one of the welcome team or ARK leaders.

Would you like to get involved?

If you have been attending Queen Street for some time and would like to consider getting involved with helping at ARK then we would love to hear from you. To find out more please speak to Jen Clark or Sarah Wallace who head up the ARK team. Alternatively speak to any of the welcome or leadership team and they will direct you to the right person to speak to.

On Friday evenings during term time we also run the children's club Ark Active
